Zedu Weekly Wrap – 5 July 2024
What a lovely run of winter days we’ve had…
here in Melbourne, the frosty starts making for crisp and awesome sunny afternoons. Not so good for the car battery the other day 🙂
We’ve been busy beavering away here at Zedu HQ getting ready for setting our 2025 calendar across our existing range of courses AND fielding enquiries about the new sonographer programs launched at the ASA conference last month. Always exciting times as we get ready for another year of ultrasound. If you – or a colleague – are looking at making 2025 your year of ultrasound education keep your eyes peeled. Or if you need to chat about your needs please give us a call – we’ve got something for everybody.
In other exciting and related developments, we are proud to announce our partnership with the team at Unite Healthcare.
As specialists in the sonographer recruitment space, we’re working with Unite Healthcare to 1)  deliver improved staffing solutions for businesses and 2)  provide individuals expanded opportunities through professional development and top quality training.
If you’re a business looking for staffing solutions or a sonographer looking to stand out from the crowd get in touch with us or the Unite Healthcare team today.
Finally – we can’t forget the latest in #FOAMed ultrasound news views and information from the week. Highlights include:
- Jeff Gadsden (@jeffgadsden) revisits the complexities of gastric POCUS in this new world of GLP-1 agonists (4 July )
- Peter Antevy (HandtevyMD) discusses EMS POCUS in Florida with some well known POCUS visitors (hi Kasia and Luke) (29 June)
That’s all from Zedu HQ for the week.
See you soon

Sooooo….we’re now doing gastric POCUS for ALL GLP-1 agonist pts. And the results are…not pretty. It changes our mgmt frequently. Rather than rely on an arbitrary fasting time, a bedside test has been key. If you’re new to this, check out this vid 👇https://t.co/ZAbr7akqwj
