Zedu Weekly Wrap – 15 November 2024
What a week we’ve had…
with the running of the final face-to-face TRUST course for 2024.
An amazing and diverse group of people came from all over the country representing the full range of medical backgrounds, bringing with them an energy dedicated to advancing ultrasound training.
Ideas were flowing, debates were debated and laughs aplenty shared. TRUST is always fun and enjoyable, and if upping your teaching game while joining a peer support network is your aim for 2025 be sure to join us – dates are available here.
And a reminder – we’re rapidly approaching the end of the year and places on courses are sparse; if you want to get in before Christmas your time is now.
On the general news front, highlights from this week include:
- Arun Nagdev (@NagdevARUN) and team on Complication Rates After Ultrasonography-Guided Nerve Blocks Performed in the Emergency Department (14 November)
- Rebecca Perry (@Becho2106) who took over the ASA (@asasonography ) feed to present cases on the assessment of patients with thick LV walls using echo (12 November).
- Matt Tabbut (@mtabbut) on the thoracic portion of the FAST exam (12 November).
- A paper in the Scandinavian Journal of Trauma, Resuscitation and Emergency Medicine (@SJTREM) – Prehospital ultrasound constitutes a potential distraction from the observation of critically ill patients: a prospective simulation study (10 November)
This and more all worth a look.
The weekend beckons now – have a good one!
