The lateset generation of Sonosite’s POCUS systems takes pride of place at Zedu. The Sonosite LX has a large, adaptable 21.3” (54.1 cm) clinical display that extends, rotates and tilts to accommodate the varied clinical environments at the bedside. The system’s small footprint and adjustable display foster collaboration, allowing for real-time image and information sharing with the patient, other clinicians, residents and other hospital staff.

The system was engineered to include primary and secondary study controls on the clinical touchscreen display – including quick access to the most-used optimizations such as depth, gain, and measurements – to deliver an optimized heads-up workflow for clinicians. The Sonosite LX is compatible with the redesigned family of transducers launched with Sonosite PX that have dedicated exam types for study-specific imaging and workflow optimization.

Alongside the LX, Zedu is also home to the Sonosite PX. Part of the new generation family of imaging solutions, the PX represents the next generation in Sonosite POCUS, with a suite of workflow efficiency features, and an adaptable form factor. Sonosite PX image clarity is the result of a new proprietary imaging algorithm.

To support a wide range of POCUS skillsets, Sonosite PX includes exam types optimized for specific workflows. The user interface is simplified to show most-used controls, calculations, and annotations. Combined with a new family of linear, curved, and phased array transducers, and improved color performance, clinicians can see anatomy more clearly with Sonosite PX.

A workhorse well represented in hospitals around Australia and New Zealand, Zedu keeps on site the Sonosite X-Porte kiosk. This system was the next generation following the M-Turbo, and represented an important milestone in SonoSite’s ongoing effort to improve access to point-of-care ultrasound visualization. The kiosk was created to serve a broad spectrum of users, from novice to advanced, and represented the emergence an entirely new design and use paradigm for ultrasound.

SonoSite developed X-Porte with a focus on optimized workflow and for use in varied environments. The multi-touch, gesture-driven user interface represented a step change at the time, easily personalized by the user and controlled with the glide of a hand and without keys or buttons. The highly cleanable, sealed user interface facilitates optimal infection control. The kiosk’s slender profile lends itself to easy navigation down corridors and alongside patient beds. It has a detachable use option for low-footprint environments. The influence that X-Porte has on it’s PX/LX siblings is clear.

Commonly seen in anaestheisa and trauma environments, Zedu’s fleet wouldn’t be complete without the SII.  Developed for regional anesthesia, vascular access and trauma applications, the SII empowers efficiency for clinicians through a simple, yet smart user interface that adapts to the user’s imaging needs.

The SII features a touchscreen user interface, an embedded dual transducer connector is portable and can be used across multiple hospital environments, including a zero footprint option for space-constrained rooms.

Launched in 2007, the M-Turbo is the grand-daddy of our Sonosite fleet. Sonosite’s fourth product platform since the release fo their first hand-carried ultrasound system in 1999, the purchase of this system was Zedu’s first major investment in bringing POCUS (still referred to as bedside ultrasound then) to Australia.

We keep this system on hand at all times as it is still commonly encountered around the world. Plus, it holds a great deal of sentimental value.

A permanent feature at the ZeduHQ, the Philips Sparq ultrasound system makes scanning and interpreting quality ultrasound images in the ED and ICU simple, so you can work fast and with ease, giving you more time to focus on your patients.

Sparq’s user interface, automation, and image quality combine to make the system easy to learn and easy to use. Sparq’s ergonomic design and small footprint make it easy to position even in the most constrained clinical environments. . To facilitate easy viewing, the large 17-inch monitor with automatic ambient light compensation is on an articulating arm.
