About you

Zedu seeks a passionate and enthusiastic sonographer to join our small yet impactful team.

The ideal candidate will be a sonographer who holds (or is eligible for) registration with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Register (ASAR). While qualifications in training and education are highly regarded, they’re not necessary.

The candidate should have at least five years of scanning experience. As a key member of our team, you’ll play a significant role in developing and delivering our successful programs. We value autonomy and believe in empowering our team members. We seek someone passionate about teaching and eager to pass on their knowledge to the next generation.

About the role

The Sonographer Educator role at Zedu stands out from traditional positions.

This role allows you to develop your educational, presentation, clinical, and teaching skills. You’ll have the opportunity to explore and implement new teaching methods to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of knowledge transfer.

Unlike other roles, you can be deliberate in your teaching approach, with the time and space to discover what works best for different learners. Your focus will be on teaching for the sake of teaching, free from the pressures of clinical worklists. You’ll collaborate with our team of standardised patient models, enabling learners to refine their practical scanning skills on diverse body types they will encounter in clinical practice.

Your primary focus will be enhancing the learning experience. Additionally, you will have the chance to pioneer innovative teaching methods and be involved in developing programs and presentations. Your day-to-day experience will include small group practical teaching, delivering presentations, and one-on-one teaching, providing a dynamic and rewarding environment to grow as an educator.

In addition to the exciting teaching opportunities, this role offers the chance for some travel, adding a dynamic element to your work. Furthermore, Zedu is committed to supporting your academic endeavours and providing a supportive environment for your professional development and growth.
