Zedu Weekly Wrap – 1 April 2022
April 1 – no fooling around here though…
this ultrasound thing is very serious stuff! That doesn’t mean you can’t have fun – which is what we’re all about. We’re celebrating a milestone this week as the first time in over two years we have been able to stay open for more than eight weeks straight – quite the achievement. And everyone that has walked through the door has had a big smile on their face as they get to meet face-to-face and their hands on an ultrasound system. Serious joy 🙂
This week there is an interesting comparison of DIY phantoms – comparing beef, pork and lamb joints simulation for UGVA skills development. Well worth a look – although there are no tips for curing and cooking. If your looking for ideas, tips and tricks on phantom creation for your own needs take a look at our DIY Phantom Compendium. A wide variety of other articles and cases are highlighted – from teaching remotely to pediatric lung imaging – so have a scan through, there’s something for everyone.
As always, if there’s something on the horizon that you’d like added to our weeklywrap – or something we’ve missed – let us know.
See you next week.
Mike and Suean
P.S. – April’s Coaching Corner will be live and free on Thursday 7, 7.30pm. To register for the ZOOM link check here. If you can’t wait until then have a look at the back catalogue – there’s something for everyone.
P.P.S. – don’t forget – Daylight Savings ends this weekend in Australia – wind those clocks back…

So you use #POCUS to guide central venous catheterization. Great! You probably know how to find the IJ and the carotid artery at the beginning of this clip. What is making its appearance at the end of the clip? pic.twitter.com/wHgcXMsdJO
