Zedu Weekly Wrap – 28 January 2022
It has been a monumental week…
on a personal front this week. We’ve been catching up with family for the first time in over two years. Once a part of our lives that it’s fair to say was taken for granted, the ability to hug and see people has been a joy. Catching up has been fun, and the opportunity to just chat and chill has revealed that it’s the simple things in life that should be treasured. And where once catching up would have been fit in the schedule somewhere, the schedule was reprioritised as we shut the Zedu HQ down. We hope you don’t mind!
Plenty of ultrasound goodies in this week’s weekly wrap. If eFAST is something on your ‘to review’ or ‘to learn’ list check out the new app from Kirsten Shaw MD (@md_kirsten). And we’d like to plug a survey – we’ve been asked by Dr Farhan Pervaiz & Dr Amy Sarah Ginsburg to highlight that they’re conducting ‘A survey of barriers & facilitators to ultrasound use in low-and middle-income countries’. If you have knowledge of or experience in this area please consider helping them out at https://dfmgp.mcmaster.ca/surveys/?s=TLK7FXXPN3
See you next week.
Mike and Suean

When I was an intern learning cardiac POCUS, I wanted an app with easy-to-understand sample clips of the most common cardiac pathology. I decided to make that app myself! Check out “FAST Heart” free in the App Store! #POCUS #IMPOCUS #MedEd #MedTwitter #WomenInMedicine pic.twitter.com/Afhf6DssEM

I knew what this should look like but was still taken aback by how pretty this turned out. Such a great way to illustrate backscattering in #ultrasound. pic.twitter.com/mAxQPxTLqD
